About Me

I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. I interned at Through the Looking Glass, a community mental health agency that has been serving the disability community for over fifty years, and also completed practicums at Gateway to College/Middle College High School, the Wright Institute Psychodynamic Clinic, and the Pacific Center for Human Growth (an LGBTQIA+ mental health agency).

I have a background in cultural anthropology from Pomona College and UCSC, with particular attention to stigma, identity development, and resilience in marginalized groups in the US ( specifically people diagnosed with HIV during the AIDS pandemic, and people experiencing homelessness). These experiences fueled a lifelong passion for opening space to explore the intersections of identity--both internal and socially perceived--and their impacts on mental health, personal development, and relationships. I identify as queer, Fat, female but gender-expansive, mature, and a person who lives with chronic pain.

I am an animal lover and co-parent to a family of dogs and cats. I am happy to explore questions about emotional support animals and provide ESA letters if appropriate. I appreciate nature, ecology, and gardening. I am a lifelong lover of science, literature, creative writing, visual art, speculative fiction, fandom, and table top roleplaying games (an OG geek!). I am trained in the Game to Grow Method of Therapeutic Tabletop Roleplaying Games.
